Bio:
New music with an old world aesthetic: the modern acoustic originals of Elameno Quintet draw inspiration from Jazz and Arabic music to Flamenco, Brazilian and Irish. In the words of Lin Cook, founder of the Santa Barbara Jazz Society, "The blend of melodies and intricate rhythms was outstanding." 2008 saw the release of Elameno's first album which was followed by successful 2008/2009 tours. The combination of these five instruments is unique and accessible, marked by stunning improvisation, and grooving beats. Elameno appeals to audiences of all ages and across genres. Says Joe Craven, "I love watching them!"
